Interested in Becoming a HAM Radio Operator?

Anyone can become a licensed amateur radio operator. There is no age limit. A technical background is NOT required. You don't even need to learn the morse code!

In order to promote the growth of ham radio The Plano Amateur Radio Klub, Metrocrest Amateur Radio Society, and the McKinney Amateur Radio Clubs sponsors classes to teach the fundamentals required to pass the test. The test is given by fellow amateurs immediately following the class.

Cost of the Class is $50. This includes the License manual, handouts, and VE Test fee.

May 9/10 Red Cross Building McKinney TX This is a Friday Night / Saturday Class The address is 1450 Redbud Blvd McKinney TX.

June 13/14 HamCom Class is at the Oak Point Recreation Center located at Jupiter and Spring Creek. Class is all day Friday and Saturday afternoon.

October ??? TBA Plano Cert - Plano TX Details to come.
